This Gesha coffee was grown in a region of Laos known as the Bolaven Plateau which is a mountain range that borders Vietnam at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level. The area’s local micro-climates are conducive for growing coffee and is an essential economic mainstay in local agricultural production. Coffee was introduced to Laos during the French Colonial period in the early 1900s.
