Ethiopia Hambela Buliey
We are roasting the Hambela Buliey this week. It should be available to ship by Labor Day weekend.
This Ethiopian Hambela Buliye coffee is grown and processed at a very high altitude – 2150-2220 meters above sea level. Kedir and Esmael Hassan own and operate Buliye farm as well as run Hambela Dabaye, a coffee processing site. They not only grow, but purchase coffee from farmers in their surrounding kebeles – Wamana, Borticha, Dari, Rogicha, and Dabaye. A kebele is similar to a neighborhood or considered to be a small rural geographic setting. Ethiopia is divided into regions, zones, woredas, and finally kebeles. Kebeles are tasked with providing essential services: education, healthcare, water access, agricultural support at a basic grassroots level.
