              DECAF MEXICO Organic Granjeros Chiapas
This Mountain-Water-Process Decaffeinated coffee is grown by small-scale farmers in the higher altitude zones of Chiapas, Mexico. Many of the farmers have less than a few hectares of land on which to produce coffee. Each farmer process their own coffee at home using motorized or hand cranked pulping equipment. The coffee is then shipped to the Descamex facility in Vera Cruz, Mexico where the beans are soaked in water from the Pico de Orizaba Mountain – Mexico’s highest peak. The coffee is then decaffeinated using a patented water process method that removes 99.99% of the caffeine.
