World Of Coffee in San Diego

Brendan and I attended the he World of Coffee convention in San Diego April 17-19. It drew people from every part of the globe with approx. 700 vendors representing every aspect of ‘the world of coffee’. We met suppliers we’ve chatted with on the phone and never met in person, created new relationships with coffee roasters, green bean suppliers, farmers, and equipment mfgr’s. Even a couple notable characters including a living legend in the Ethiopian coffee industry, who is widely recognized as a pioneer in revolutionizing Ethiopian specialty coffee through leadership and standards. We’re making sense of all of our ‘new world’ information and plan to bring a few ideas to the coffee shop this summer. Stay tuned!
